Smarter, Faster, Safer: AI in a Connected World themed Cloud Startup Summit 2023 at Hilton Colombo

Artificial Intelligence Takes Center Stage

The theme further elaborated “Smarter, Faster, Safer: AI in a Connected World”, and artificial intelligence remained the central focus throughout. Majority of startups unveiled new tools that integrate generative AI into enterprise systems, emphasizing efficiency and security.

As Cloud Startup Summit 2023 progressed, attendees expressed optimism about the future of IT, especially the role of human-AI collaboration. “It’s not just about automation anymore,” said Priya Mehta, a software engineer attending her second conference. “It’s about enhancing human creativity and solving problems that were previously unimaginable.”

Over 150 startups exhibited their technologies in the event. Where new ideas were unveiled and many industrial leaders participated in the event. Keynote speech was delivered by Shannon Smith, founder of Snap Tech AI ,he is a young Sri Lankan entrepreneur.

He further spoke about the challenges in the software industry and how these challenges can be mitigated using modern tools. How AI can enable customers to scale the development and improve efficiency in their organizations. 

“We are seeing this whole 4th Industrial Revolution happening. Machine learning, AI, AR, automation, blockchain, quantum computing, smart homes, smart cities , smart cars..etc. Software runs our daily lives and eventually these devices will be smart enough to write and upgrade their own software” Shannon Smith

The summit highlighted the importance of sharing knowledge and  discussing industry trends to foster innovation and collaboration in creating more opportunities and development in the digital industry.
